New iPhone or Invest In A Course That Teaches You Food Photography Course?

Over the past few weeks, lots of people have been asking me the question “is it better to invest in the new iPhone or the iPhone Food Photography course?”…

There looking to invest in the new gadget, hoping it will make their Food Photography stand out head and shoulders above the rest.

Every year a new iPhone gets released, perhaps there’s a new feature that allows you to blow your images up an extra 5% in size without pixelating, or the screen is slightly larger, or the USB C port has been introduced.

These are nice things and all, and they can make a slight difference to the performance of the phone…

But more often than not here’s what I find – the improvement on each device is so slight that the difference is barely noticeable!

It calls, texts, downloads apps, surfs the internet, charges, takes photos & videos etc…but in general, your current device does everything you need it to do just fine.

I did a shoot with a client a few months ago using their iPhone 5s (yes they still exist). And they were AMAZED by the results I was able to achieve with just an apparently outdated handset.

 

That’s because the methods I use to take high quality photographs provide GREAT results even on the oldest technology!

Having a brand new handset vs one that’s 2 years old doesn’t improve your photo composition, lighting, story telling, post editing… All it does is cost you more money and contribute to the ever growing landfill problem…
